Day 46
Today we got to go to Ivy’s house to play. I dressed up in my fancy Elmo clothes and Ivy dressed up in a pretty flowery shorts and t-shirt. She was super happy to see me and she smiled and made lots of cool faces. She even sat up in a chair all by herself. Wow, she is so advanced. I went over and sat with her, but she had to hold me up. Hopefully she will teach me how to sit, and make cool faces. I have already learned to smile a little bit. Ivy’s a really good teacher.
Day 47
Today was so busy I don’t think Daddy remembered to take any pictures, but I will tell you what happened anyway. Mommy and I got up and drove to the car place to get her car fixed. When they saw that I was there they worked really quickly so that Mommy could come home. I guess they didn’t want me hanging out in the waiting room too long. Good plan Mommy.
In the afternoon we went to the movie theatre. We met up with Monica and Rayna, and Jillian and Sophia. I had invited Ivy and Hélène to come, but I guess they were too busy. It was really neat, the event was called Stars and Strollers. The whole theatre was filled with mommies, daddies, babies, and strollers. Outside the theatre there were change tables, diapers, and wipes. It was a little hard to watch the movie because of all the crying babies but it was still lots of fun. I didn’t cry even once during the movie!
In the evening Mommy went out with Rebecca and Amy. The babies all got to stay home so that the mommies could have a night out. Jeremy and Ben came over to our house and we all played Black Ops in the basement. It was super fun hanging out with all the boys.
Day 48
I got to got to the doctor for the first time today. I am now over 6 weeks old and the midwives don’t get to take care of me anymore. I was excited and a little bit nervous to meet my doctor. When we got to the office everyone was very happy to see me, I guess they like babies around here. We were shown into a little exam room and the I got weighed. Guess what, I weigh 10 pounds and 5 ounces. Oh yah, I rock, big belly baby, I’m awesome!!!
My doctor came into see me and she was wearing a pretty red dress. I love red, just like my dad, so I guess it was my lucky day. She listened to my heart, looked at me, and moved all my parts around just to make sure that everything worked. She checked my stats on the computer and we discovered that I am right in the middle for weight and height. Yay me! It was a great first appointment. Talk too you later, Love Charlie.
