Sorry its been so long since I updated my blog but Daddy has been having a hard time getting into a routine now that he is on vacation. We will try to do better.
Day 40
I am starting to be more alert these days. I can follow slow objects with my eyes and I am really starting to like being in my activity chair. It vibrates on my butt and there are cool animals to look at and grab.
Mommy had to go into work today to get things organized for the end of the year. Grandma Barbie came to babysit and we had lots of fun. She sang to me and danced with me and we had a great time.
After work Mommy packed me up in the car and we went downtown to see some of her friends. I met Wendy, Pete, Sara, and Maria. It was lots of fun to go into the big city, but a little scary too. Mommy and her friends visited until I got tired and then we went home to snuggle until bedtime.
Day 41
Grandma Marjorie came up for a visit today on her way through to Peterborough. She says that every time she sees me I am growing and getting bigger and more handsome. Mommy then took me on some errands. We went to a cool place where the car got lifted up on a big hoist and they took some oil out. We also got to go to the grocery store and get some food.
Hey, check out the pictures in the photo gallery. Mommy is growing carrots. They are almost as long as I am. I can’t wait to try one. When Daddy got home I snuggled with him on the couch until bedtime.
Today is Daddy’s last day of work before his vacation. I am so excited for him to be home all the time and playing with me. Mommy and I spent all day getting things ready for Daddy’s celebration dinner. We made steak, twice baked potatoes, and asparagus. For dessert we made a strawberry rhubarb pie. YUMMMY! Daddy was super tired when he got home, but he loved his dinner that we made.
Day 42
Happy Birthday Canada! Today I put on a special Canadian outfit. Don’t I look wonderful? We packed up all kinds of stuff and headed up to the cottage today. There were so many doggies there it was crazy! Jake, Molly, Elmo, Kairo, and Roxi. It was so exciting. Grandpa and Shawn where building a dock, doggies were running around and Daddy was working in the cabin to make things nice for the summer. Mommy and I stayed in the house and hung our with Grandma Barbie and watched the doggies play.
That night I got to sleep in the cabin for the first time. It was great.
Day 43
Today we went to market for breakfast. It was so good, or at least that’s what Daddy tells me. I guess I will get to taste it in a few hours. After the market Daddy and Mommy went to get a new bed, because the one in the cabin is too small for all of us to snuggle together.
We went back to the cottage and I got to have a bath in the sink. It wasn’t quite as much fun as being in the bath tub with Mommy and Daddy but it was still pretty cool. After my bath we got in the car and went home. I was so tired from my exciting weekend that I was a little cranky in the car on the way home. Oh well.
Day 44
Today Daddy went out and spent most of the day getting stuff for Mommy’s birthday. I told him what she wanted and he went and got some great stuff. Mommy was so excited when Daddy came home that we decided to give her first present, an iPhone. She loved it and started taking pictures of me right away.
In the afternoon we got to go to visit some of Mommy and Daddy’s friends, Jeremy, Julie, Ben, and Colby. We hung out with them all afternoon and into the evening. They had a really cool hot tub, but because I was coming over they were super nice and made the temperature lower. It was like a super big bathtub. I loved it. I swam with Mom and Dad and had fun in the bubbles. Julie even made Mommy a delicious cake to eat. Great day.
Day 45
Today is Mommy’s birthday! We got up early and I dressed up and brought Mommy her second gift and our cards. We got Mommy an add-on for her Magic Bullet. It makes it just like the baby bullet. I am so excited to try eating real food and I bet the new stuff we got Mom will make it easy peasy.
We went out for a lovely breakfast at Mommy’s favourite breakfast restaurant, Cora’s I was so good the whole breakfast that Mommy and Daddy got to enjoy their whole meal. Then we went to Canadian Tire and bought a special umbrella for the cottage. It is called a Sport-Brella. It will let me go outside and hang out with everyone, but keep me safe from the sun.
In the afternoon Grandma Marjorie arrived to babysit. Shortly after she got there Grandpa Taylor and Grandma Barbie arrived to bring Molly home. I missed Molly so much, but she always has lots of fun at the cottage. Grandma Barbie and Taylor only stayed for a little bit, but Grandma Marjorie stayed so that Mommy and Daddy could go out to watch a movie.
When they came back we had a yummy pizza dinner and got to eat another yummy cake that Grandma Marjorie brought for Mommy. I wonder what kind of cake I will get to eat tomorrow? Night Night, Love Charlie.
