Had a really good sleep last night. I only woke up once. I even slept through Daddy’s shower and him getting ready for work. Luckily I woke up just in time to kiss him goodbye. Mommy and Daddy’s friend Melissa came over for a visit. I saw her lots of times at school but she was always too nervous to hold me. She did just fine today though I snuggled with her on the couch.
When Daddy got home from work we drove to see the Midwives. Midwife Lindsay took care of us today. It was a little sad because today was our last appointment with the midwives. Next time I get to go see a doctor. After we visited and chatted with Midwife Lindsay for a while it was time for my measurements. Are you ready?
When I was born I weighed 6 lbs and 13 ozs and I was 50 centimeters long. But, I didn’t eat very well at the start so I lost a lot of weight and when I was my smallest I weighed about 6lbs and 2 ozs. Today, 5.5 weeks after my birth I grew 6 centimeters, I am now 56 centimeters tall. I also did a pretty good job of gaining weight, I now weigh 9 lbs and 11 ozs. Pretty good work for 5.5 weeks huh?
I had a great time with the midwives and they have taken such good care of my whole family over the past 7 months that I am really going to miss them. Daddy says not to worry that we will get to come back and see them soon when its time to get a little sister. Mommy says that I might be waiting longer than Daddy thinks! Thanks Cathy, Shirley, Jackie, Lindsay and Elenor, we appreciated everything you did for us. Night Night, Love Charlie.
