I gotta tell yah that today was super fun and super stressful too. I had 2 really good meals in the middle of the night and I ate for a long time. I had so much good milk from Mommy that I didn’t want to eat again for the rest of the night. They kept trying to feed me, but I was full!!
When we got up in the morning Daddy told me that Midwife Lindsay was coming to visit. I was so excited that I decided not to eat my breakfast. This made Mommy sad, but I just wanted to wait until Lindsay got here so I could show her what a good eater I was.
Midwife Lindsay arrived and I jumped right into her arms. She listened to my heart and said that it was working great!!! Then she got out a cool sling and weighed me. Uh oh . . . Lindsay told me I haven’t been eating enough and I have lost some weight. She explained that my job was to get big and strong so I can help Daddy with his chores. I decided she was right and showed her how well I could eat. I ate for 52 minutes just to show her I could do it. Lindsay had to go visit some other babies so she left and I was so full that I went right back to sleep.
Daddy was pretty tired from all the work he’s been doing too so we had a nap together. Mommy stayed up to vacuum and clean the whole house . . . just kidding, she took a nap too. After my nap with Dad, I was still full so I didn’t really want to eat anything. I played with Molly instead. She is my best friend. I just love her so much, and she is so gentle with me.
I was still full from my big meal in the morning that I wouldn’t eat any lunch either. I just wanted to sleep but Mommy and Daddy wanted me to get up and play. They turned on some cool tunes and we danced and sang together. Even though I was really full I wanted to make Mommy happy so I drank some milk. Unfortunately because I was already full I had too much and barfed all over the place. Whoopsie!
Later that night Grandma Barbie came over with Elmo so Molly would have someone to play with. They went for a nice walk and then Gramma came in to cuddle with me. I was so happy to see Gramma that when she left I had a big meal with Mommy. Daddy and Mommy were so happy that I was eating. Time for bed now. Talk too you tomorrow. Love Charlie.
