Man last night was rough. Mommy and Daddy kept waking me up and trying to get me to eat. I was so sleepy I just didn’t want to eat anything and I kept trying to go back to sleep. They even took off all my clothes and made me hang out in just my diaper. How embarrassing! Don’t they understand that I am just a chill kid? I like sleeping and lying around and even more sleeping. Hopefully someday I will even get to lie on the couch and play Gran Turismo with Dad!!
Midwife Cathy called to check in on me today. She sure is wonderful and caring with me and my family. Tomorrow I get to meet Midwife Lindsay. Mommy and Daddy tell me that she is really cool too.
Dad tells me that I am an amazing pooing machine. Today alone I have had 5 great big poos. We are going through baby wipes like you wouldn’t believe. I like to get the poo all over my butt, my legs, and even some in my diaper. Luckily the midwives taught Mom and Dad how to keep me fresh and clean using Olive Oil. Yumm.
I met my first friend today. Scott and Rebecca came over and brought Ivy. Ivy is already 9 weeks old. She sure is pretty. I was pretty tired though and I slept most of the time that they were here. They had a nice visit with Mom and Dad we played Pass the Charlie. I can’t wait until I am old enough to play with Ivy.
Ivy tells me that I have another neat friend to meet: Hélene. Hopefully she will come to visit soon. She called to see if I was available but there were already going to be lots of visitors today. Maybe I will get to see her later in the week. I think that Ivy, Hélene, and I are going to be great friends.
After Scott, Rebecca, and Ivy left we all took a nap. After we woke up Grandma Barbie came to visit. She hugged me and held me while Mom and Dad took another nap. They sure are tired all the time . . . What’s the deal? Grandma cuddled and fussed with me and it felt great.
Grandpa Taylor arrived a few hours later and the big people all had dinner. I also got to meet Elmo. He looks just like an old version of Molly. After dinner it was SOOOO cool. Grandpa Taylor played on the piano and I got to sit and listen. He played a super neat song called Great Balls of Fire and everyone sang to me. Even my sister Molly came to listen. It was super fun.
After Grandma Barbie, Elmo, and Grandpa Taylor left, Mom and Daddy and I just chilled on the couch. I am noticing that we all just hang out a lot. That suits me just fine.
Hey I forgot to tell you about the cool stuff I have been doing on the computer. Yesterday I learned about this neat program called Skype. It allows me to see my relatives that are far away. We got to talk to Auntie Rachel. She is so excited to see me. We also got to talk to Auntie Sarah, Uncle Beau, and Cousins Elijah and Elle. I can’t wait to meet everyone.
Just before bedtime one of Mommy’s friends Melissa came over. She is really nice. I showed her how I am learning to eat. She showed me some different ways that I could do it, and I was able to get way more food. Thanks Melissa, I am not so hungry anymore.
I am so lucky to have such a loving family and wonderful friends. Its time for bed now. Lots of Love, Charlie.
